A WWI barnstorming pilot Roger Schumann settles for work as a stuntman for airshows and takes out his frustrations on his wife LaVerne. Journalist Burke Devlin seeks to write a piece on Schumann and is drawn to LaVerne. Based on the novel "Pylon" by William Faulkner.
