A morgue technician discovers a way to reanimate a deceased child. The complication is that in order to keep the girl, Lila, alive, the technician must harvest biological material from expectant mothers. When Lila's mother, who works as a nurse in the same hospital as the technician, finds out her daughter is supposedly alive, she and the technician enter into a pact designed to keep Lila alive, thus discovering just how far a mother will go to save her child.
