With the arrival of Gru Jr., Gru, Lucy, Margo, Edith, and Agnes find their family growing both in number and in antics as Gru Jr. seems determined to cause his father grief at any given moment. However, Gru finds his troubles doubling when a new rival, Maxime Le Mal, and his girlfriend, Valentina, rise to power, putting the quirky family in jeopardy. The film is the fourth installment in the animated franchise.
